SGI and Voice Control Systems (VCS) teamed together to enable voice recognition on all audio capable SGI workstations. Speech extentions have been added to the X-Server and a speech recognition architecture has been jointly implemented to give applications developers the ability to make their applications "speech-aware." This Toolkit allows you to integrate voice recognition "point and speak" concepts for command and control and information retrieval using your voice. The Toolkit contains C and C++ API code, vocabulary building tools to make speaker independent vocabularies (no users training required) and guidelines for implementing voice recognition into applications. Site licenses also available to those doing on-site development only.
