Advance is a resolution-independent, digital compositing, non-linear editing and special effects software system. It offers fast interactive processing and numerous tools for complex, multi-stage compositing and image treatment. A `clip manager' allows display and editing of any number of clips. Other features include colour correction, motion tracking, a sophisticated keyer, 3-D DVE, and `User Function Objects', so that the user may write and incorporate his own processes.
The `process tree' feature allows you to build up effects by adding and editing clips and processes in any order. Parallax's world-renowned paint system Matador® is fully integrated with Advance, which means painting, retouching and rotoscoping is possible at any stage.
