AutoCAM Classic is an integrated interactive CAD/CAM software for 3 axis milling, turning, and 2 axis applications. It features a geometry creation and transformation facility with easy to learn and use commands, a bill of material module, a parametric module and an automatic gear drafting module. It also includes DXF and IGES interfaces, an NC tool path generator, a tape punching/reading/DNC module and AutoPost, a powerful post-processor generator.
AutoCAM's tool path generation capabilities include module for interactive machining, profiling, pocketing, machine cycles, drilling and threading cycles. It supports NC performance tools such pattern execution, tool path copying, etc. as well as a first class editing facility. The software works with AutoCAD
and all major CAD systems supporting IGES and DXF geometric exchange standards.
